First of 10 Locations Planned for 2019
Next-Gen Arcade has grown from one location to five in Houston and Dallas in less than six months. The company is planning to open 10 locations in 2019, and they are looking for franchisees who want to be part of this next-generation arcade experience.
The company has a unique business model that is designed to allow franchisees to make money while having fun. The company’s founders have more than 20 years of experience in the amusement industry, and they have developed a proven business model with a strong emphasis on customer service and satisfaction.
The company’s business model is simple. They have five locations across Texas that are all profitable and highly profitable. The company has developed a unique sales program that allows franchisees to make money while also having fun. This is not just any arcade, though; it offers next-generation gaming experiences such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and video games that are played on massive screens—all in an immersive environment.
2018 was all about Next-Gen Arcade.
Next-Gen Arcade is a gaming and entertainment franchise that has grown rapidly over the last few years. The business model is unique, with each location offering different experiences based on its own locales. Next-Gen Arcade’s customer experience is also very different from other video game retailers: they are focused on providing customers with an enjoyable experience while they play games in their stores, rather than just selling them products at low prices (which can be done elsewhere).
The arcade business is a high-risk one, but Next-Gen has been able to overcome this by offering unique experiences, creating partnerships with other stores and franchises in their local areas, and finding ways to stand out from the competition.
In less than six months, the gaming and entertainment franchise grew from one location to five in Houston, Texas and Dallas, Texas, with plans to continue expanding into other markets.
“We’re doing well,” said CEO Don Stark. “The games are selling well and the arcade is busy.”
Stark said that he learned a lot during this expansion process: how much time it took for employees to set up new locations; how many employees needed training on how to operate them; what would need modification or extra set-up time before opening day; what games were popular at each location (and which ones did not sell as well).
They want customers to enjoy a unique experience when they visit Next-Gen Arcade, which is why they are focused not only on selling products but also on providing opportunities for people to play games in person. The new location will feature three different rooms: an all-ages playroom, a 21+ bar, and a private event space. The arcade area itself will be where customers can play classic arcade games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga and more while sipping on a drink at the bar or enjoying some tasty food in their dining area. According to Stark, the company plans to continue expanding. “We’re going to do more locations,” he said. “We’ve talked about doing a location in Austin and we’re looking at other cities.
“Next-Gen Arcade has been a huge success so far,” says founder and CEO Blair DeLorenzo. “We’re taking everything we’ve learned through the growth process and putting it into play in the new locations.”
Next-Gen Arcade has been operating under one roof at 717 Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City since October 2018, but that will change with their move to the new location at 901 Main Street in early 2019. The new space will be more streamlined than its predecessor with a darker atmosphere featuring neon signs and artwork designed by local artist Ryan Johansen (who also designed some of our murals). In addition to being brighter overall, there will also be larger windows that allow customers outside views of both inside areas as well as adding some natural light into each room throughout each day during business hours
We’re also making the transition to a new operating system that will allow us to provide better support and maintenance for our locations. We’re working hard to make sure every Next-Gen Arcade location is clean, safe and exciting!
The new locations will have a more streamlined layout that focuses on gameplay first and food second.

The gaming experience includes more than 40 arcade games and pinball machines, as well as a full bar serving beer and wine. They want customers to enjoy a unique experience when they visit Next-Gen Arcade, which is why they are focused not only on selling products but also on providing opportunities for people to play games in person.
“The footprint has been adjusted to meet our needs as a self-sustaining brand,” DeLorenzo says. “We want every location to be able to offer the same great experience, so our next focus is on increasing efficiency.”

The arcade has been around since 2001, and it’s still going strong today. They have machines that are brand new and some that are older, but they all run at a high-quality level. They also offer repairs for any machines that need them as well as maintenance checks on a regular basis to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Each new location will also have darker walls accented by neon signs and artwork, giving it a much more immersive atmosphere.
